Devices are grayed out on my application and cannot be controlled?

Devices appear grayed out on the DARWIN App because they have lost connection. This is a result of a power loss to a specific unit, to the device, or to the associated network hub linking the device onto the DARWIN Network. First, check the Ethernet connection to make sure your Hub is connected. If connected and your devices are still unresponsive on the App, follow the instructions below.

Speaker

1. Confirm that the speakers/amp have power.

2. Confirm that speakers/amp are on the same network as the DARWIN Hub by reviewing settings in the SONOS app.

3. Within the DARWIN App, refresh the UI screen by navigating to another screen and returning.

4. Through the Sonos App, confirm the ability to play sound by playing your file of choice through the speakers.

If the speaker is unresponsive, please contact Sonos support or visit the Sonos website for further assistance.

Lights

1. Check the power to the light by using the light switch. For DARWIN to be able to communicate with the lights they will need to be powered on (i.e. switch in on position).

2. Confirm light is powered by turning off, then on, ensuring to leave the light in on position.

3. If lights turn on, refresh the UI screen of your DARWIN App. Do this by navigating to another screen and returning.

4. Lights should now be available for control.

5. If lights don’t turn on, there may be an issue with the power on this circuit and an electrician may be required to rectify.
