What happens if I use my sensor while I have a humidifier on?

When you have a humidifier on, the numbers on your sensors will sometimes be higher than normal. The sensor is a particle counter, so the high numbers you might see are due to particles being given off by the humidifier as minute solid particles (PM2.5) are blown from the water into the air. Clean humidifiers using distilled water rather than tap or mineral water should not cause substantial increases in particle count numbers. Try using distilled water in your humidifier, and notice if there are any changes to the PM2.5 concentration readings.
